Older place but since it’s the only ice skating in the island it gets heavy use. Fun, offers gloves for purchase and skates for rent. Wear long sleeves or jacket to keep warm. Have fun.
There were skates to rent, bathrooms, and changing areas. Even a room with tables and chairs to eat the food you brought. The ice was fun. My feet hurt. All the kids on the ice seemed to enjoy it.
Ice skating was pretty fun. The ice was nice but there's a layer of water above the it so don't fall unless you want to be soaked
Parking is free. Changing area/room provided. Bring gloves or you'll have to buy a pair when you arrive. Toilet is inside the skating rink, so you might want to use it elsewhere. Rental skates are the equivalent of rental golf clubs (junky).
This sport complex provides ice-skating ground, bowling centre, baseball batting range, a comfortable restaurant & hot-stone sauna hall. A convenient all-in-one family sport facility.
Being the only ice arena in Okinawa it is great. A good thing to know is this a multi sports facility.
Great place for Ice skating as well they have a hockey program for children and adults
Great spot if you wanna a cold place to have fun. Skate rentals are charted to show us and jp sizes. Access is via ticket booth (yen only). Coin lockers available inside and by the rink for 100¥. Don’t worry if you can’t skate! They have push carts available to practice with or if you want to have the kids sit while you skate there are car carts with seat belts. Helmets available for free and gloves are required to use.
Our company, Kung Pow Kings Hockey, held an ice hockey camp at the rink. The facility is a bit old but the rink surface was in very good condition. They also had a lot of extra on ice equipment we could use such as mini nets, pylons and many other on ice aids.We also played some exhibition games and got the kids to compete with the local kids. Many of their kids also joined out camp and it was a great 7 days of training!
Okinawa's only option for ice skating (as far as I know). They host ice hockey games between US and Japanese players. Additionaly they have batting cages, karaoke, bowling, and table tennis. At the time of this post they are offering discounted admission for ice skating on Mondays @ 1300¥ for skates and admission all day from 1100-2000. They require that all patrons wear gloves and can be purchased for 500¥. All other areas of the building are smoking except for the ice skating rink. Fun, inexpensive, ample parking, would go again. Look for the Giant yellow peinguin sign atop The building.
Ice Ice Baby! Who knew there was an ice skating rink in Okinawa! If you need to take a break from the heat, this place is great. It is easy to get to and parking is on site (under the skating rink). There is also a bowling alley next door. The ice rink was olympic sized and well maintained and there are skates of all sizes available for rental. Additionally there are chairs and kid-sized cars that you can strap a child into and push around the rink (they rent for 500 Yen per on half hour). We found discounted tickets and were able to skate all day for $10 per person. It is a great way to spend the day!
